Chancery Park, Dublin 7

Chancery Park is a small but picturesque park on the Dublin's north inner city, next to the Four Courts. Essentially an extension of Chancery House, which has been described as a small but thoughtfully design set of 27 flats in Dublin 8. Just like the flats this park was also built in the 1930's.

This project was another beautiful piece of design by Herbert Simms.

The Irish Times described it as 'A charming little garden – a railed-off refuge from the busy streets around it, with a fountain, a pool, and manicured shrubs. Its Art Deco trimmings wouldn’t be out of place in Paris, or Vienna, or any of the better kept cities of Europe'.

This was a passion project for me to draw, I like the simplicity of it. It has always been a place that I noticed growing up between living in the city and the suburbs of Dublin.
